County Coordinator My name is Joe Markovich. I am the county coordinator for the Butte County IDGenWeb site. If you would like to host a IDGenWeb County page, or assist the project in any other way, please contact the Idaho State Coordinator Mike St Clair. The Butte county site is among 4 county sites in which I am the coordinator. The map on the left shows the county locations within the state and the proximity to each other. Butte county is shown in blue and is located in the Southern part of the state. The other counties which I am the coordinator are Gooding county shown shown in yellow, Custer county shown in red and Camas county shown in green. |
IDGenWeb Project
In March and April 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database Project. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties within the State of Kentucky where collected databases would be stored. Furthermore, the databases would be indexed and cross-referenced, so that even if an individual was found in more than one county, he or she could be located in the central index. This project is an outgrowth of that original project.
Site Navigation
The main site navigation is through the tree on the left hand of the screen. The tree is arranged by topics and sub-topics. Sub-topics are accessible by clicking on any topic that has a + sign next to it. Alternately, each page of this web site contains a navigation box on the bottom. The site can be scrolled through one page at a time or directly scrolled to the last page and then back to the very first page. The total number of pages, called articles, in the Butte site are also shown in the navigation box.
Research and Look Up Requests
I am unable to do your personal research. I do not live in Butte county or in Idaho and I do not have access to additional records. If you do not see the information you are seeking in this site, I do not have it as everything I have is posted in this site
